Last minute Black Friday picks

Thanks to Black Friday being somewhat of a recent invention in the UK, there's still time to take advantage of this weekend's discounts to get ahead on your Christmas shopping, or to treat yourself a little!  Here are a few of my favourites.

ASOS are offering 20% off the entire site until 8am on Tuesday morning with the code CYBER.  As well as a great selection of Christmas jumpers and party dresses, you can also get 20% off beauty - including this Stila In The Light palette, normally £25, and this NARS Dual Intensity eyeshadow palette, normally £45.

Clinique are offering a free High Impact mascara with every order over £40 with the code BLACKFRIDAY until midnight tonight.

Liz Earle are offering special prices on many products from their extensive skincare range, such as the limited edition Jasmine and Osmanthus Cleanse & Polish, which comes with two muslin cloths and costs £14 rather than £20.

Feel Unique are offering 15% off everything with the code BLACKFRIDAY15, and have some flash deals throughout the weekend too.  My picks are Naked Smoky (obvs) and this rather lovely looking theBalm matte eyeshadow palette.

GHD are offering £20 off a subset of their range of straighteners and stylers.

Origins are offering a free Checks & Balances Frothy Face Wash, normally £18, with the purchase of any two products.

Ciate are offering 30% off everything on their site, with free delivery on orders over £50.

Nails Inc are offering money off their sets this weekend - including this set of 7 shimmering effect polishes for just £12.

As for me, I'm off to buy that NARS Dual Intensity palette...

January Sales Roundup

Even though it's not actually January yet, plenty of sales have kicked off in style.  Here's our pick of the sales!

With blush from £8, eyeshadow from £7.50, and the famous Intense Lipgloss from £9.38, llamasqua are offering some pretty good prices on soon to be discontinued products.  This isn't the first time Illamasqua has had a 50% off sale for old stock, though, so don't expect the shade range to be great.

ASOS have reductions on Soap and Glory sets (we all love those, right?), Bliss, Too Faced, St Tropez, Eyeko, Paul and Joe, and many, many more.

Cowshed are also having a sale, although there's not a huge variety of products on offer.  That said, with cute sets containing three mini bath and shower gels and a travel candle costing just £7.50, you could stock up with a few last-minute standby gifts for those occasions when you've forgotten to buy something.

BeautyBay.com have cut prices on hundreds of products - with bargains to be had on RMK, Neal's Yard, Melvita, Tigi, and Louise Galvin.

High end e-tique Zuneta have some gorgeously luxe products in the sale - including some hefty discounts on Becca - I'm quite tempted by this set of three Beach Tints for £31.
.

SpaceNK are, as always, a great sale destination, with brands such as By Terry, Lipstick Queen, Laura Mercier, Lubatti and Nude on sale.  Whilst there are some good deals to be had online, I've often found a much wider range of products on sale in store - well worth a trip to your local store if you have one.

Debenhams are also having a beauty sale, with up to 50% off fragrance and beauty products.  Benefit's Powder Time Lover includes mini sizes of the ever popular Coralista, Dallas and Dandelion - and costs just £16.67 in the sale.

Have you spotted any bargains, online or in-store?  Let us know in the comments!

Rouge Bunny Rouge on SecretSales Now!

Gorgeously pretty brand Rouge Bunny Rouge are currently on sale via private sale club SecretSales.com, with up 50% off a selection of products.  At the time of writing, there were still plenty of lipsticks, eyeshadows, lipglosses, eye glosses and a few skincare items available, all at a heavy discount.  Lipsticks and eyeshadows, usually priced at a fairly weighty £22, are just £11.

If you've wanted to try the brand but have found the pricing a little too high, now's your chance!  Despite having a groaning dressing table full of lipstick and eyeshadow, I rather think I'm going to try at least one of each.

The sale runs until midnight November 17th, and you'll need to sign up as a member on SecretSales.com to take advantage.  Let us know what you snap up!

Diamond Cosmetics Nail Polishes on Sale

Just a quick note to spread the word that Flashy Nails, who supply Diamond Cosmetics polishes and various Konad stuff, are closing down - prompting a sale in their remaining stock.  If you've ever wanted to try Diamond Cosmetics polishes, this is a good time to snap up a few shades at a good price - £1.50 for single shades, or packs of 6 polishes at £7.  Bargain.

I've snapped up six dark shades for just £7, which includes a matte shade - not something I'm usually keen on, but I'll give it a go!  Postage was a reasonable £3 - a tenner for six polishes is pretty good in my book!

Cherry Culture Sale - 20% off until June 30th

This has just landed in my inbox, and very welcome it is too - our favo(u)rite US online store are running another of their 20% off sales, adding an extra dose of discount to their already very reasonable prices. Use the code GRS20 at the checkout to take advantage.

Our pick, as ever, are the NYX Round Lipsticks, currently $2.25 each. If you're browsing the site, check out the Summer Sale they're currently running too.

SpaceNK SALE!

Just a quick post to let you know that SpaceNK's sale - starting tomorrow in store - is now previewing online.

Looks like most of the Jemma Kidd and Lubatti ranges are selling at about 50% off.  Most excitingly, NUDE's cult Cleansing Oil is selling at just £14 (usually £24) - I'll definitely be heading in store for that one.

Given that SpaceNK often offer sale prices of 50% off for lines they are discontinuing - I'm thinking Sonia Kashuk brushes last year - maybe this signals the end of Jemma Kidd and Lubatti at SpaceNK.

Either way, if you fancy a few bargains from either brand, now's the time!

Space NK Sale including Sonia Kashuk Brushes

SpaceNK are currently holding a sale, both online and in store. While perusing the array of products available at some seriously reduced prices, I noticed that most, if not all, of their Sonia Kashuk brushes are heavily marked down - maybe their high-end pricing didn't cut it with clued-up UK beauty lovers? Anyway, most of the brushes now fall between the £4.89 and £9.79 mark - much closer to their US prices. If you're looking to try these, the time is probably now!

Boots bargain - if you missed out on the hatbox...

Twitter has been alive today with people seeking or discussing the Boots deal of the day - Soap and Glory's "Big Thrill" hatbox, reduced from £50 to £20. It's a fantastic deal, and one I was lucky enough to take advantage of, but I understand that the website and most UK stores have now sold out. So instead of a gloating haul post about the hatbox and how awesome it is, I thought I would draw attention to another better-than-half price that Boots are running which is still available online and hopefully instore too.

The item is the 17 Vanity Case, and it is reduced in price from £30 to £12 - a price that's highly accessible by pretty much anyone's standards (even mine, and I'm brassic).

It's a silver square faux-leather vanity, pretty solid, with two compartments one above the other, opened by zips with crystal toggles. The box overall is very cute.

Inside there are some fairly flimsy plastic inserts, one containing inset pans of eyeshadow, blusher, lipstick and powder, and the other one in the lower compartment containing a range of rather budget-looking brushes, a cute little eyelash curler, two glitter liners and a makeup sponge.

The colours are mainly 17 favourites with a couple of limited edition shades thrown in for good measure. You get:

  • 17 Solo Eye Shadows - Viva Diva, Mardi Gras, Punky Purple.
  • 17 Glitter Eye Shadow - Gold Digger, Spirit, Heartbreaker, Superstar.
  • 17 Trio Eye Shadows - Metallic Toffee, Moody Blue Dark Shade, Smokey Quartz dark and light shades.
  • Limited Edition for Gift only: 17 Eye Shadow Smokey Green, Newt.
  • 17 Pressed Powder Natural.
  • 17 Blush Powder Bramble Frost.
  • 17 Shine on Lipsticks Sweet Sizzle, Watermelon Crush.
  • 17 Lasting Fix Lipstick Blondie.
  • Limited Edition for gift only: Very Berry, In the Nude.
  • Limited Edition for gift only: 17 Glitter Liquid Liners Silver and Blue.
17 is decidedly "drugstore", and the brushes won't be much use to anyone but the most credulous novice, but the colours are great quality and the case alone is worthy of the price tag (look at the cute detailing around the mirror!). Once I've removed the pans from the inserts and re-homed them in some DIY construction of my imagination's making, I'm going to be using it to store some of my every-growing army of palettes.

Buy one, treat yourself!

25% Off at HQHair.com

It seems to be a good day for sales - and for us consumers, a good day for shopping!

Use the code SAVE25 at checkout to get 25% off your entire order. No idea when this runs out, so I'll be buying some last minute Christmas presents and maybe something for myself today.

Nails Inc at Secret Sales NOW!

There's a Nails Inc sale going on over at SecretSales.com at the moment; only one thing is currently sold out, but I imagine that that'll be changing rather soon.

The large Lucky Dip Box on the left is reduced to £20 from £50. Bit of a bargain. Other items such as smaller sets and single polishes are available, but this isn't the biggest sale I've ever seen, with only 7 items currently available.

Head to SecretSales.com and sign up if you want to take advantage; the sale ends at midnight Thursday.

SecretSales running Pop, Pixi sales now

For those who aren't already a member, SecretSales is a website which offers promotional periods on branded goods from clothing to homeware to beauty products.

At the moment, they are running Pop Beauty and Pixi sales - with some pretty good discounts available. The set of Pop Beauty Glitter Sticks on the left contains 10 glitter crayons, with an RRP of £70 (which seems rather high), being offered for just £14. I think I might well be picking up a few brightly coloured Christmas gifts from this sale.

The only downside is that your goods are only dispatched once the sale has finished; so if you order at the start of a seven day sale, your goods only dispatch at the end, making the wait for the product that much longer.

Registration is free at SecretSales.com and you can earn £5 for each friend you refer.

LookFantastic Hair Sale

Lookfantastic.com, one of my favourite online beauty boutiques, is having a rather large sale on hair products at the moment. They stock a full range of high end products from the likes of Kerastase, Redken, Paul Mitchell, etc, and have taken 20% off the price of a variety of products until 9AM Thursday.

We're not affiliated with LookFantastic, we just love their wide range of products and discounted prices.
