Although we're committed to boldly exploring the cosmetic landscape, trying new things and bringing you our balanced, honest reviews... there are one or two items that have found their way into our hearts.
That sentence was going to end "for good"... but we have to admit to being fickle, inconstant types who are always having our heads turned by new and shiny things. So here's a breakdown of our absolute favourites - subject to change of course.
Gemma:
Face
Gemma's favourite foundation is MAC Studio Fix Fluid. It gives her a natural matte finish, evens out the skin beautifully, and offers buildable coverage.
Lips
She's recently come to adore NYX lipsticks - they're cheap, come in a huge range of shades, and manage to be comfy to wear as well as very longwearing (a minor miracle).
Lashes
Lancome Hypnose Drama mascara (with its cute squiggly brush) is Gemma's foolproof solution for big fat lashes.
Bath and shower
As a self-confessed bath addict, Gemma has many contenders for this title, but Soap & Glory Calm One Calm All bubble bath is her favourite, thanks to bubbles that last throughout her epic 3 hour bathing sessions.
Haircare
"SLS-free" is Gemma's watchword. She finds Original Source conditioners to be a cheap, silicone free standby, and the Avocado & White Pear variant "smells edibly good".
Sarah:
Face
Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection concealer is Sarah's favourite face product. It equals the performance of products five times the price, and is available pretty much everywhere in the UK.
Lips
Sarah often can't be bothered with lipstick, but has to admit that Blistex Intensive Moisturiser is absolutely vital to her daily regime, unquestionably laying the smackdown on dry lips.
Lashes
NYX Doll Eye Volume mascara is one of the best she's come across, mostly thanks to its ingenious concave-shaped brush.
Bath and shower
Sarah has an enduring love for Radox White Tea bath and shower products, purely because of the divine scent. "They're a bit drying, but so worth it". Cheap as chips too.
Haircare
Despite frequently trimming her own hair with kitchen scissors, Sarah is choosy about her hair products. Naked Shine intensive conditioning treatment is her favoured solution for glossy, shiny hair.
