Smashbox Halo Long Wear Blush in Passion

Smashbox have recently added another gratey-powder to their lineup.  If you've tried the original Halo face powder, you'll know that it promises a subtle, natural glow, and that the packaging features a little grater which turns the solid product into a powder.  Halo Long Wear Blush is made of the same stuff - gratey packaging, softly glowing finish, coupled with medium pigmentation on the colour front.

The blush is easily buildable if you want a stronger colour, but a soft dusting across the cheeks gives a delicate flush straight off the grater.  Passion is a lovely soft rosy pink with plum undertones, making it neutral enough to work with any skin tone.  Wear wise, this stuff does seem to last longer than your average powder blush - it's still pretty easily visible ten hours after application.

All very nice then, but sadly this niceness comes at a cost - a whopping £24 for just 2g of product.  I think the inflated price comes from the admittedly cool, but actually mostly gimmicky grinder - Smashbox's 'normal' blush comes in similar shades and costs £21 for 3.7g.  I wouldn't personally spend £24 on something which is likely to run out quite quickly if you use it every day.

If you're interested, you'll find Halo Long Wear Blush at Smashbox counters and on their website now.
