OMG90s: Clarins Rouge Eclat Lipstick in 16 Candy Rose

I had high hopes for this Rouge Eclat lipstick in Candy Rose when I popped open the tube and twisted up the colour.  It looked like a gorgeous cool toned mid pink, one of my favourite shades, and given how much I love the Rouge Eclat formula, I was anticipating a new makeup bag favourite.

Unfortunately though, when I applied it to my lips, all I could see was the silver-white frost.  The combination of mid-pink with frost makes this a very, very 90s look, and having been there and done that as a teenager the first time, I certainly won't be doing it again.  Shame, as the Rouge Eclat formula is comfortable, highly pigmented, and lasts well.  I guess I'll be sticking to Pink Berry this winter!
