#MyNo7Feeling Red Lash FOTD featuring Lash Impact Mascara, Stay Perfect Shade & Define, High Shine Lip Crayon

No 7 is busy showcasing quick, flattering summer makeup looks right now - there are several to try, from soft natural pinks to low-key ways to wear red to summer bronzed.  I've been trying out Look 2, which features defined eyes and a wearable red lip - right up my proverbial makeup street.

I was supplied with three products to form the core of the look - Lash Impact mascara in black, Stay Perfect Shade & Define in Glistening Ray and High Shine Lip Crayon in Statement.  I added my own foundation, brow colour and blush, making this a fairly pared back look for me - it's rare I'm seen without eyeliner!

Stay Perfect Shade & Define in Glistening Ray, £8, is a twist-up stick eyeshadow/liner in a pretty sparkling pale gold.  It's likely to be universally flattering, with it's shimmering but not glittery finish, and neutral colour.  It strokes onto the eyelids smoothly, and can be blended down for a minute or so before it sets.  Perfect for a subtle wash of colour.  No 7 claim that this stuff holds crease-free for hours, but I found I needed a primer to keep it crease free on my super oily lids.

The first time I tried Lash Impact mascara, £13.50, I wasn't impressed at all - it was a bit weak and thin, and my lashes looked longer but not particularly volumised.  The second time was much better - I suspect cracking open the mascara and letting it dry out a little improved the formula no end.  Two coats gives you well defined, black lashes which are fluttery and well volumised.  It wears pretty well - I didn't notice any flaking, although there was a bit of smudging under my brows where the tips of my lashes touch my lids.

I've tried the High Shine Lip Crayons, £9, before - I'm impressed with the hydrating, comfortable colour and the sheer but still colourful pigmentation.  This shade is Statement, a lovely wearable daytime red with a bit of sparkle, which should satisfy off-duty red lipstick lovers and those trying red lips out for the first time alike.  Wear time on this isn't great - because of the glossy, moisturising base, you'll need to reapply every couple of hours to maintain both colour and shine.

And finally, the whole look on my mug.  It's a polished, defined look which is both elegant and understated, particularly compared to my normal look, which tends to involve stronger lip colour and a lot more eyeliner.  I like the softness and prettiness, and I've got to admit it's much easier to wear than a stronger look in hot weather.

If you like this look, you can pick up all the products shown above plus a bonus classic red nail polish for just £29 - saving you £7.50 over buying the products alone (that's a free nail polish and then some).
