Quick Pick: Clarins Ombre Minerale Eye Shadow in Smoky Plum

This gorgeous metallic smoky silvery plum shade is rather incongruous in Clarins' spring collection.  In a collection that's all about light, this deep and mysterious shade breaks the mould a little, and I'm so glad Clarins have released it - it's absolutely lovely.  Blended over the eyelid with a nude lip and sculpted cheeks, it's a simple, sophisticated take on a sultry winter look, and when the weather warms up a little it'll still look good along the lashline.

At £17, it's not cheap for a single eyeshadow, but it's in good compay - it's almost the same shade as my beloved Chanel Illusion d'Ombre eyeshadow in Illusoire.  Find it now at the Clarins website.
