Avon True Colour 8-in-1 Eyeshadow Palette in The Metallics

Avon's eyeshadows can be a bit hit and miss, so I was pleased to find that this Metallics palette is pretty much a hit.

The packaging is basic, and it's best to put those foam applicators straight in the bin, but the colours within are well pigmented and blendable.  I'm not quite sure why Avon have chosen to call this an 8-in-1 palette.  It's a palette, of course it contains multiple eyeshadows.  It'd be a pretty disappointing palette which contained only one shadow.

Anyway, the shades run the gamut from neutral to bold, with some wearable gold, silver, pink and brown tones and some slightly more punchy blues.

Swatched, they're pretty decently pigmented - and whilst they're not the most metallic shadows I've ever seen, they have a pretty shimmer to them which adds plenty of dimension.  That turquoise is gorgeous, and the deep reddish brown is incredibly flattering as a liner or crease colour.

This palette is currently on offer - it currently costs a mere £6.50.  For eight well pigmented and blendable shadows, that's a damn good price.  Find it now at the Avon website.
