NOTD: Cheeky Chat Me Up Nail Paint in Take Me Chrome

This lovely metallic silver polish is one of the new range brought out by Cheeky, described as the younger sister brand to pun-tastic Cowshed.  As a polish in its own right, it's okay - it required three coats to get full opacity, dried relatively quickly, and has a pretty if not particularly original chrome like metallic finish.

The interesting thing about the polish, and indeed the brand, is that they're opening up a Cheeky Parlour in Shoreditch, which will offer walk in beauty services including manicures - for £12, you get a file and paint, and the bottle of polish to take home with you.  The polish on it's own will cost £7, and if you ask me, a fiver is a small price to pay for a professional mini-mani on top of the cost of the polish.

One thing I'm not too keen on is the branding for the range.  I get that it's supposed to be a bit young and fresh, but Chat Me Up nail polish and Flirt Alert body mist - really?  It seems a little bit 90s for me - almost as if it's a brand for younger people made by older people.  And I just can't disassociate it from the Cheeky Girls.  I'm sorry.  Maybe I'm just old.

You can keep up to date with the brand's launch by signing up on their website.
