Quick Pick: Bourjois Java Rice Powder

Bourjois are re-releasing one of their original products in celebration of their 150th anniversary.  Meet Poudre de Riz de Java - or Java Rice Powder to you and me.  It's presented in a cute vintage style pot inspired by the original 19th century packaging, and it promises radiance in a feather light formula.

Inside, a sifter regulates the powder, and the powder itself appears pale pink and slightly sparkly.  I'll admit I was a little scared of glitterface when I first opened it up.

But actually, this powder adds radiance with barely any sparkle at all.  The photo above shows the powder in direct bright sunlight, and my hand looks radiant and light reflecting, but not at all glittery.  The texture is indeed soft and light, and the powder is great for setting the foundation whilst adding a little bit of radiance.

If you're looking for a gentle radiance, this is a great product - the fact that it looks really cute on my dressing table is an added bonus!  It's exclusive to Selfridges at the moment, where it costs £9.99.
