New lip goodies from No 7: BB Lips, High Shine Lip Crayon and High Shine Intense Lip Crayon

No 7 have some new lip goodies out for autumn.  There are two of the new ubiquitous lip crayons; High Shine Lip Crayon and High Shine Intense Lip Crayon, which correspond pretty closely to the original Chubby Stick and Chubby Stick Intense offerings from Clinique.  There's also a new lip balm hybrid called BB Lips - which aims to give soft, subtle colour and moisturise the lips.

The three shades I have here are all pretty damn autumnal - they're all variations on berry.  The BB Lips product has a slanted applicator, and the two crayons have different size tips - this makes the more pigmented Intense crayon easier to apply than the less precise High Shine crayon.

High Shine Intense Lip Crayon in Sultry Kiss
The High Shine Intense Lip Crayon has a soft, moist texture despite containing more pigment than the High Shine version.  I was surprised that this shade wasn't more vampy and rich, particularly given the Intense moniker, but I guess No 7 are aiming this at people who like a more wearable shade.  Sultry Kiss is on the wearable side of vampy.

BB Lips in Berry Rose
This product is called BB Lips because it contains colour, SPF, and moisturising benefits.  It's stretching the BB craze a little far, but the product itself is lovely - soft, moist, and deliciously sheer.  It reminds me of Clarins Instant Light lip products, minus the pricetag.

And before we get on to the lip swatch, I wanted to show you the incredibly pretty sparkle in the High Shine Lip Crayon.

That sparkle translates to a slightly shimmery finish on the lip - unlike the Avon crayons I tried recently, this isn't glitter-city at all.  The texture is soft and moisturising, not too different from the Intense version - there's plenty of hydration, and yet it still lasts reasonably well.

So, there you have it - three new No 7 lip products for autumn.  None of them are anything particularly new, but they're all rather lovely to use, and being No 7, they're reasonably priced than the high end products they emulate.  You'll find BB Lips for £8.50, High Shine Intense Lip Crayon for £9, and High Shine Lip Crayon for £9 at Boots now.
