Quick Pick: Revlon Photo Ready Cream Blush in Flushed
I picked this little pot of pink goodness up completely by chance a few weeks ago, and I'm very glad I did. Revlon's Photo Ready Cream Blush is a fairly cheaply packaged affair, but the product inside punches well above it's weight in performance.
First off: that pink is absolutely terrifying, isn't it? It looks like it's a quick path to clown cheeks in the pot, and yet when you swirl your finger across the surface of the product, it becomes apparent that it's much more sheer than it looks.
This is a pretty heavy swatch, and whilst that pink is still pretty strong, you can see the skin through the cream.
Blended, you get a super soft natural flush colour, which adds freshness and prettiness without being too pink. Somewhat of a surprise given the colour in the pot.
As well as the pretty colour, this blush benefits from one of the nicest cream blush textures I've seen in ages. It's solid in the pot, but melts and yields under your fingertips. The texture is soft and silky, emollient without being sticky, and it blends like a dream. It also sticks well to the skin, lasting longer than most during the recent hot, sticky weather.
Not bad for a mere £7.99! I might check out the peachy shade next...
