Sneak Peek: OPI AW2013 Collection: San Francisco

Yesterday I got the chance to get a sneaky peek at OPI's AW2013 collection.  Themed around San Francisco, there are some predictably autumnal reds and purples, deep blues, three new Liquid Sand shades, and a very, very interesting duochrome.

This post will be super photo heavy, so click to see more after the first two shades from the 15 strong collection...

Lost on Lombard is an pinkish, raspberry red cream shade.  Embarca-Dare Ya! has a similar raspberry red tone to it, but with lots of silvery glitter.

In the Cable Car-Pool Lane (most idiotic name ever) is a vampy purplish red cream.  I Knead Sour-Dough (second most idiotic name ever) is a rosy pink with shimmer.

First Date at the Golden Gate is a brownish rosy red cream shade.  Muir Muir on the Wall is another vampy purplish shade, this time with tons of shimmer in it.  One of my favourites.

Two of the new Liquid Sand shades - Alcatraz... Rocks is a gorgeous black with multi coloured glitter.  Super sparkly.  It's All San Andreas's Fault is a taupe, with subtle shimmer.  If you've not tried it, Liquid Sand is a matte finish, textured polish somewhat similar to the Nails Inc Concrete polishes launched earlier this year - they have a finer, smoother texture though, and don't catch quite so much on your tights.

Wharf! Wharf! Wharf! is the third Liquid Sand shade, and it's a deep matte blue.

Haven't the Foggiest is a wonderfully shimmery-metallic-chrome-finish silver.

Keeping Suzi at Bay is a fairly unremarkable deep blue cream.

Peace & Love & OPI  is a stunning grey shade with subtle green and purple duochrome.  It's easily the most unique shade in the collection, blending murky with grungy with OOH COLOURSHIFT.

Incognito in Sausalito is a navy cream.

Dining al Frisco is a bright, breezy blue with silvery shimmer.

And finally, A-Piers to be Tan is a brownish putty shade.  Not my thing at all.

And some on-plastic-nail swatches.  Look at how gorgeous Peace & Love & OPI is.  I reckon it'll be the sell out shade.  I was lucky enough to get a sample of it, so more photos later.

Of the three Liquid Sand shades, I think Alcatraz... Rocks is the nicest.  Because it's sparkly.  And I'm a magpie.

Which of these is making you wish it was autumn already? Let us know in the comments!

Disclosure: I received samples of the collection at the preview event.  One of them was Peace & Love & OPI.  I might have squealed.
