Review & Swatches: Burberry Light Glow Blush in Coral Pink

This little beauty is a Light Glow blush from Burberry.  Light Glow blushes claim to give a fresh complexion and a natural glow.  Apparently, it's a "micro powder" which makes it "glide on effortlessly", and its full name is Light Glow Natural Blush - I don't know about you, but I don't really think that this kind of bright, cheery pink is particularly natural!

Packaging, as always, is heavy, pewter metal embossed with the signature Burberry checked design.

And again, the checked design is echoed on the product itself, embossed prettily into the pan.  The included brush is surprisingly soft and usable, although its size does make holding it a little awkward.

As I often find with Burberry products, their definition of sheer and natural doesn't really match with mine.  This light swatch shows a pretty intensely pigmented, matte powder in a gloriously pink shade which doesn't lean too warm - it's a great cool mid pink.

Excuse the missing brow colour - my face looks a bit weird with the overly light brows!
A very light handed application gives a soft flush which looks natural (ish) and very pretty.  The lack of shimmer keeps it subtle, and it's by no means chalky.  Lovely.

At £29, Light Glow is an expensive indulgence, but a tiny bit goes a long way, and as always, the luxury of Burberry makeup gives me a little thrill when I use it.  Find Light Glow blush in Coral Pink online at Harrods now.

    Gah! This blush is gorgeous!

  2. Wow, it gives you such a nice flush! I have yet to try Burberry products (so hard to access where I live!) but their blushes are definitely on my wish list.

  3. Thanks ladies! You do have to be careful with it - this was after a few clownish attempts after underestimating the pigment!
