Clinique's Fresh Bloom powder is incredibly pretty, both in the pan and on the skin. Described as an "all over colour", Clinique recommend using it either lightly all over the face for a soft glow, or on the cheekbones as a highlighter. This sits at odds with me for the Plum Poppy Blend shade - it's a rich, pinkish plum shade which I really can't imagine putting all over my face. On darker skintones, maybe, but on my pale, cool skin, definitely not.
That said, it makes a really pretty gentle blush. It's buildable, and despite the promise of glow, it's not massively glittery, shimmery or overly reflective. Subtle, I think, is the right word to describe this product. A couple of layers built up on the cheeks adds a soft flush which looks natural and pretty, and makes a change from the soft matte pink I usually use for an unobtrusive cheek. Lovely.
Find it at Clinique counters and concessions, and online via the Clinique website, where it costs a reasonably spendy £26.

ReplyDeleteThis is a very nice color & it looks lovely on you. It seems very similar to an old Clinique blush I have called Extra Poppy. I just might have to check it out & compare since I want to replace mine.
