Urban Decay Super Saturated Lip Pencils in Adrenaline and Lovechild

Two new SSLPs (that's what the cool kids are calling them, or so I hear) for summer from UD - Lovechild, a dusty mid pink creme, and Adrenaline, a bling-tinged fuchsia.

Both are creamy and smooth, applying with a slightly translucent, buildable finish.

Lovechild is easily the more wearable of the two, adding a hint of petally prettiness to your everyday ensemble:

While Adrenaline is a much more "kapow" punch of colour, an effect enhanced by the matching pink microglitter which isn't very obvious here...

But definitely shows up when the light catches it.

Surprisingly, while I like Lovechild, I absolutely love Adrenaline and I think it works quite well with my skintone. I won't be wearing it to work, but it's definitely one I'll be reaching for when I feel like dressing up.

Both shades are glossy and balmy in texture, and while not ever erring towards sticky or goopy, they do have a kind of waxy tenacity that places them more towards lipstick than gloss. It's a happy compromise - you get the colour impact of lipstick without the drying effects.
