Quick Pick: Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara

I pretty much ignored the launch of Clinique's Bottom Lash Mascara, simply because I thought it was a pretty unnecessary product - surely it's not all that difficult to gently swipe a tiny bit of normal mascara on the lower lashes?  Fast forward to two weeks ago, and I received a sample from the Clinique ladies - and I will quite happily admit I was wrong about it being unnecessary.

The mascara has a tiny, tiny brush which is perfect for adding colour and definition to the lower lashes.  It doesn't do anything else - no volumising, no lengthening, no curling - just a bit of colour in a clean, non clumpy formula.  The tiny brush, combined with the simple yet hard wearing formula, makes it super easy to make the lower lashes look done and well groomed.

Once applied, the mascara dries quickly and remains in place all day with no smudging, flaking, or smearing.  Lovely stuff - I can see this becoming a staple in my makeup bag for a long, long time.

Find it at Clinique counters and concessions, and online, where it costs £11 per tube, and comes in Black and Brown/Black.

Disclosure: PR sample

  1. I still think it's a clever gimmick. But if it works for you, that's cool too.
