3 Current Lemmings: Hair, Nails and Face

There are a fair few products I'm feeling seriously tempted by at the moment.  I thought I'd share just in case any of them appeal to you, too!

Whilst I no longer stick rigidly to a no-shampoo, silicone-free hair diet, I do still avoid sulphates, as they make my hair feel dry and fade my colour more quickly.  L'Oreal have recently released a range of sulphate free shampoos and conditioners - and since there are relatively few reasonably priced brands in the sulphate free category, I'm itching to try the new products.  They appear to be divided into three ranges: EverPure, for coloured hair; EverSleek, for frizzy hair; and EverStrong, for damaged hair.  Not quite sure which I'll end up trying given that my hair is coloured, frizzy and damaged!

Prices from £5.99, and available at Boots (although I've yet to find them in my local, smaller branches).

London Makeup Girl really knows her high quality neutral eyeshadows, so if she tries out a matte neutral palette and falls in love with it, the chances are that it's a must have.

Viseart's Basic Eyeshadow Palette contains 12 matte neutral shades from bone to black, with a formula that's described as non chalky and easily blendable.  I love a good matte shadow but often find they're just too much work for use in the morning before work, which is when the majority of makeup is done in my house.  The palette costs £46 from The Neat Kit, which is spendy, but perhaps not such an indulgence for a veritable wardrobe of wearable mattes.

I know it's a bit fiddly, and that it's probably something I won't really play with all that often, but damn it, I really want a Konad set.

Perhaps it's some of the amazing nail art done by the likes of Leanne from Do Not Refreeze.

The set on the left contains three special polishes (although everything I've read implies you can use normal polish too), a scraper, stamper, and four plates, and costs £30.

What's on your wish list at the moment?

  1. Oh I was sent the L'oreal eversleek shampoo and conditioner to trial and as much as I wanted to love them (so sulfates for example), well the shampoo still managed to be extremely stripping (no way you'd want to forgo conditioner) and the conditioner so crazily rich (I guess to combat the drying shampoo) that it was nearly impossible to rinse out and made my hair a little more sleek but also completely flat and lifeless... I hope that if you try one of them, it turns out better for you! I've passed these on to my boyfriend and even he complains about them!

  2. I want the Viseart palette- can I justify buying one for my Bridesmaids duty at the best friends wedding????

Other items on my wishlist include, Lanolips intensive handcream, the eye palette from the Nars Make Up Your Mind set and a tiny jumper for my tiny little black dutch guinea pig, Boomer.
