Quick Pick: MUA Love Hearts Lip Balm

Who doesn't adore Love Hearts?  The retro fizzy sweets have been around since the 1930s, and I'm sure pretty much every child has memories of eating and entire tube and then feeling a bit sick.  Well, I do, anyway.  Popular budget brand MUA have collaborated with the brand, producing a mini-range comprising of nail varnish and lip balm.  The cute little jar above houses one of the lip balms, unsurprisingly called Hot Lips, a bright pink.

In the tub, it looks super bright - but the colour is actually nicely sheer, and imparts a lovely rosy glow to the lips.  I was expecting the balm properties to be pretty basic - particularly given the £2 price point - but instead of being a bog standard petroleum jelly formula, it's a silky slippy affair which melts onto the fingertip and stays moist on the lip for quite some time.  Impressive stuff, given the price.

On the lip, you get a sheer, pretty look which is a great compliment to a wide range of eye looks - I particularly like it for a low effort, easy to maintain complement to a neutral eye for work.

Find these at Superdrug, or online via the new MUA website, where each shade will cost you a very reasonable £2.
