Review: Klorane Gentle Dry Shampoo with oat milk

Dry shampoos are one of those products that become absolutely indispensable once you've discovered them. What else would you do on a rushed workday morning when you didn't have time to wash your hair? They're fantastic for spraying through, rubbing, in, brushing out and running out the door.

Klorane's dry shampoo has made a big impression on me because... well, if you use dry shampoo you'll know that it has a certain smell. It's not a bad smell, it's just a very distinct smell. It's a smell that announces to everyone that you've had to break out the Batiste because you haven't had time to wash your greasy hair. So by association, it becomes a bit of an unfortunate smell to carry around with you.

Klorane's oat milk dry shampoo manages to smell completely different from the other dry shampoos I've tried - it's fresh, gentle and very clean. I'm very happy to wear this smell, and would certainly spray it even on clean hair to add volume - another thing it does very well, especially when concentrated on the roots.

It's pure white in colour, so I was expecting it to give me a bit of a greyish tinge to my hair (which is dark brown), but it brushes out very well and I haven't noticed a problem (although if Klorane wanted to make a brunette version, that would be excellent.) It leaves hair soft, light, full of volume and generally ready to fight another day.

I will definitely repurchase this. It's £7.50 for 150ml, which places it at the upper end of the dry shampoo price range, but in my opinion it's worth it for the lovely product experience. You can also get a 50ml handbag size. It's available from John Lewis.
