Quick Pick: Urban Decay Super Saturated High Gloss Lip Color in Crush

This is a hell of a colour, isn't it?  Sadly, it clashes insanely with my red hair (and not in a good way), but I'm still incredibly impressed by the depth of pigment and the shine imparted by Urban Decay's latest lip treat, Super Saturated High Gloss Lip Color.  The colour is housed within a chubby pencil format, which gives you reasonable precision of application, and is pretty darn quick to apply too.

The texture is still moist and slick despite all that pigment - and whilst the colour slides on easily from the pencil, it does dry down a little after fifteen minutes or so, leaving the lips still gorgeously shiny.  Wear is decent too - three to four hours after application, the colour fades evenly, and even imparts a hint of a stain once it's dissipated entirely.

Available in five shades, Urban Decay Super Saturated High Gloss Lip Color will set you back £14, and is available from BeautyBay.com as well as the usual concessions.  F-Bomb (creamy red) and Adrenaline (raspberry) are calling to me!

  1. I love it. Such an amazing colour. I was really surprised to see it's a pencil. I've been dying to try one of these new pencil gloss hybrids, think I know which one to go for now!

  2. You get that much gloss from a pencil? That is fantastic.

I saw these in HOF the other day and just wished they'd have a shade that was more plummy and more suitable to a colour that I could wear everyday.
