NOTD: Topshop AWOL & Nubar 2010

Some time back, there was quite a hoo-ha over a GOSH polish called Rainbow, which contained tiny flakes of iridescent, colour shifting film.  Polishes containing "flakies", as they were called, were an instant hit due to their polychromatic, sparkling effect.  GOSH Rainbow is no longer available - but Nubar's 2010 more than makes up for its loss.  It flashes between pink, green and gold on the nail depending on the angle that the light hits, making for a very pretty special effects manicure.  Even non-nail polish addicts have pointed out that my nails have been quite cool looking for the past few days.

The base colour is Topshop AWOL - a cream finish Smartie blue which I really like, as it's fabulously bright and glowy, and wears very well.  This picture was taken on day four after application - not even any tip wear in sight!

Topshop AWOL is available from Topshop, where it will cost £5, and the best price I can find for Nubar 2010 is via BeautyBay, where it will cost £5.50.

Disclosure: Topshop AWOL is a PR sample
