Max Factor Colour Elixir Lipstick Challenge: Day 2 - Pink Brandy

Day two of my attempt to choose a different Max Factor Colour Elixir lipstick for a week, and I've gone straight for the second-scariest shade I have (for me, at least).  Pink Brandy is a peachy pink which is quite orange, and thus rather likely to clash with my hair.

I'm hoping that paired with peachy neutral eyeshadow, black liner, and soft pink blush, this is more of an intentional, stylish clash.  This colour runs a little sheerer than the Bewitching Coral shade I tried yesterday - it took a few passes over the lips to get full opacity, and even then the colour wasn't too full on.  Not sure this is a colour I'll be reaching for again... what do you think?

Left to right
English Rose, Mulberry, Ruby Tuesday, Burnt Caramel, Pink Brandy, Bewitching Coral, Chilli

Max Factor Colour Elixir lipsticks are available in 15 shades and cost a very reasonable £7.99 each. Stay tuned for more shades this week!

  1. Unless you really want to work retro it's a bit... like you work in a petrol station. I think it's too warm for you. Pretty girl tho!

  2. Like I work in a petrol station?! I can't say I've ever really noticed coral lips being a petrol station classic :)

  3. LOLWAT @ petrol station? I think it looks lovely, it nicely straddles the line between wearable and bold. Like the kind of colour you can slap on if you're running late for a pop of colour :)
