FOTD - Illamasqua Theatre of the Nameless Berber pigment

I don't often do FOTDs, as I'm a bit camera-shy, but there was really no other way to do justice to the bright red pigment of Berber, part of Illamasqua's new Theatre of the Nameless collection.

Berber is metallic red with an orangey base but pinkish highlights. It also has some green particles, although they don't really show up in this look.

I used Beguile*, another pigment from the Theatre of the Nameless collection, to highlight cheekbones and brows, but it's very much a supporting act here (and I'd venture to say in the collection generally), with Berber as the star.

The foundation is an Almay one that's now discontinued, and the black eyeliner is Perversion, from the Urban Decay 15th Anniversary pencil set*. (Perversion is limited edition but seriously needs to be made permanent - it's an intense, matte sooty black and knocks their standard black Zero pencil out of the water.) Mascara is Benefit's They're Real*.

I also used my Hourglass Extreme Sheen gloss in Siren for the accompanying metallic red lips. Berber + clear gloss probably would have worked equally well, but I wanted to see how Berber and Siren would look together. I think it works. Do you agree?

Theatre of the Namless is out now. Berber (and all other pigments from Illamasqua) costs £15.50

Products marked with a * were received as PR samples.

  8. Berber is STUNNING on you, and even more so with Siren! It helps that Siren is probably the most amazing red lip in existence (which I sadly don't own yet D:)
