NOTD: Mavala Khaki Vintage

This is Mavala Khaki Vintage, a faded, fresh khaki which has the slightest white pearl.  I've got three coats on here - it was pretty opaque after two, but for ultimate depth and smoothness, three does the trick nicely.  Texture wise, this is a medium thickness polish, and it did apply a little bit gloopy - but the finish is nice and smooth, so I'm not too fussed.

Whilst I absolutely love the colour, my main gripe with this polish is the wear.  I can generally get two days out of it before tipwear and chips set in, which is a shame, as I could happily wear this kind of colour for a lot longer!

If you'd like to try this for yourself, you'll find it at BeautyBay.com, where it will cost you a very wallet friendly £2.99.  What do you think?  Soft and lovely, or a bit insipid?  How do you find Mavala's wear?  Let us know in the comments!

  1. Oh, snap. I've got this colour on now :P

Mine's lasted pretty well through a couple days of work. I'm not precious with my nails at all and regularly rip open boxes and pick at things (which is why they're not in great condition!) so I'm pleased. I'm not entirely sure the colour suits me though.

  2. just reviewed this on my blog Amina's Bazaar - I'm in love with it! Has restored my faith in Mavala. Agree re the slightly gloopy application though.
