Beautynomics: Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil in 450ml Size

Long, long ago (well, maybe eleven months ago), I spotted 450ml of Shu Uemura cleansing oil in a limited edition bottle at the SpaceNK sale.  It was reduced to £25ish - and naturally, I snapped it up sharpish, being fond of cleansing oil and well aware that Shu Uemura make some of the best on the market.

After almost a year of using a single pump once daily to remove my makeup, I'm only just coming to the end of the bottle.  That, my friends, is what I call great value - almost year of excellent, thorough makeup removal, capable of dissolving even the most waterproof of mascara, for a mere £25.  At full price, the 450ml bottles of cleansing oil cost £56.50 - very expensive, yes, but if it's going to last a year, that works out at a mere £4.70 a month - a small price for a very, very good cleanser.  When I eventually do hit the end of my current bottle (which will be in three weeks, I reckon), I'm going to head straight out and buy another.

Shu Uemura cleansing oil is available in jumbo 450ml sizes from SpaceNK, and will cost you an investment worthy £56.50.  What do you think?  Worth the initial outlay?  What products do you find last you an absolute age?  Let us know in the comments!

  1. My Origins Clean Energy cleansing oil (which costs about £20 and is 250ml in size) has lasted me since October and I still have about a month's worth of product left! On top of that, I usually use 3 pumps, which means that this bottle has lasted absolutely ages and is great value for money xxx

  2. correction, it costs US$19.50 and is 200ml. Even better!

  3. That's very reasonable indeed! Might have to try that one out :)
