New Love: Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm

At a recent event, I was given a lot of information about French brand Nuxe, including how to pronounce it (n-ooh-ks), and about their best selling products.  The cult Huile Prodigieuse is the obvious best seller, with a bottle being sold every seven seconds, but the second best selling product is one that's not really been on my radar - and with one being sold every minute, I figured I'd better pay attention.

Reve de Miel is a lip balm for dry and chapped lips which is formulated from honey and beeswax.  Unlike most pot balms I've tried in the past, Reve de Miel does not have a melting, ultra silky formula which sits atop the lips.  It's a thick, almost waxy cream, which sits on top of the lips for a short while before disappearing, leaving the lips feeling well moisturised but not at all slippery.

If you like your lip balms silky and glossy, this won't be for you.  If your lips are chapped or sore, though, and you're looking for a product to treat your lips, then this is definitely worth a shot.  In particular, I've been really enjoying the effects of applying a layer before bed, and waking up to smooth, soft lips.

At £10 for 15ml, this isn't the cheapest balm on the market, but the intense effects are worth the price, particularly if you regularly suffer from dry, chapped lips.  I'll be interested to see how well this performs in the depths of winter, but for now, this little pot will remain firmly on my bedside table, and I'll be using it nightly.

If you'd like to try this for yourself, you'll find it at Space NK, where it will cost you £10 per pot.  What do you think?  Tried this for yourself?  Let us know in the comments!

  1. I've been using this for a few years, it's been available here for a long time. It's my HG lip balm, I apply it every night, 365 days a year, and I love it, nothing works as well for me!
