Guest Review - Boots No.7 Dual Protection Tinted Moisturiser

Disclosure - PR sample

Another guest review from the lovely Vick Guthrie.

Until now, my only memory of No7 was that it was one of those brands that you always get offers for on your Boots receipts (before throwing them out). Well, Boots’ official make up brand has officially impressed me. The packaging claims to be: hypo-allergenic, long lasting, natural, light diffusing, moisturising, with SPF15.

No7’s tinted moisturiser has a really nice fresh smell. I suffer with combination skin, and find my normal liquid foundation tends to dry my face out too much, so I was pleased to see that this moisturizer did its job. When you squeeze it out of the tube, the tinted moisturiser is really thick and the colour looks as solid as a normal foundation. The texture is thick, rich and creamy, and it sinks into the skin easily with a smooth, even, non-greasy finish. You’d be surprised how far it goes, so use sparingly for a light coverage and healthy looking glow.

Because this is sheer, you don’t have to spend time matching the colour as closely as you would foundation. Other tinted moisturisers I’ve tried have been incredibly streaky, but No7 goes on really smooth. It lasts all day, but watch out as the colour does transfer if you’re wearing light clothes.

Don’t expect it to cover all of your blemishes, but it does give a nice, even skin tone.

I honestly can’t think of anything wrong with this product – I was very pleasantly surprised. You don’t get a huge amount for the price (£11 for 40ml), but like I mentioned, you only need to use a small amount. It’s even better if you have one of Boots’ nifty little £5 off vouchers. This is now one of my favourite products, and I’ve found myself replacing my normal foundation for it!
