WIN! "Hoochie" Lip Tar, a brand new shade from Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics

As we reported earlier this week, OCC have just unleashed 4 new shades of their culter-than-cult Lip Tar - Complex, Demure, Hoochie and Vapid. They are exclusively available in the UK, along with the other 20 shades, from The Makeup Artist Boutique.

They can be pre-ordered now, and are expected to ship on 23rd March. (Use the promo code OCCLBR for 10% off your order.)

We are offering you the chance to win one of these new Spring shades - Hoochie (third from left, above) in conjunction with the girls at The Makeup Artist Boutique, who are supplying the prize.

To enter, just drop us a comment below, telling us what other products you would pair with Hoochie (for example, you might combine it with black cat-eye liner and a matching plum blush). If for some reason you're not yet following us (*nudge*, *wink*), please leave us your email address in the comment too.

The competition will close on Saturday 20th March at 12.00 GMT, when we will pick a winner at random from the entries.

(NB - Get Lippie is also giving away one of the new Lip Tars - head over to her page to enter.)

  1. Ooooo... another one!!!! So exciting! Thanks for the chance to win one of these Ladies.

Im not quite sure what I'd pair Hoochie with. Im normally just a nude girl, but I am venturing out a little and have bought a few bolder and brighter shades of Lippie. I'd just have the best day ever playing with it and shocking my friends and family! haha.

  2. I'd probably do some thick winged out eyeliner on the top lashline with a shimmery gold shadow along the lower lashline, OR thick winged out eyeliner on the top lashline and then trace over the top of it with pink glitter liner. I'd also make sure to define the crease with a midtone brown eyeshadow.

Then I'd use a VERY light dusting of either a midtone pink or plummy blush (think the Vintage Grape Blush Ombre from the MAC Spring Colour Forecast collection).

I have nothing I could team it with due to destruction of make up this week. Whole make up box was dropped and everything destroyed.

But I'm a positive person so I would team it with a smile and a foxy attitude

  5. I was replying to this comment and shut the window down for some reason..

Anywho, if I was using Hoochie alone then I'd have a super natural lid (not as in flying saucer, I mean I'd use a colour on my lid that just made it look natural, I know that's the wrong word!)and then apply Hoochie to my lips with a lipbrush.

I'd be tempted to mix it with another liptar though I don't know much about mixing colours, I'd try to make it darker so adding some black to it maybe? Anyway, if I did get it a bit darker then I'd line my waterline with a smokey black pencil and do a matching Hoochie coloured winged liner look.

  6. I'd probably let the liptar do the talking and go for winged eyeliner and false lashes and a pale pink blush like MAC Pink Swoon!

  7. Since Hoochie is so bright I'd pair it with a neutral eye. Maybe a wash of champagne on the lids with a winged liner and tons of lashes. Contoured cheeks and Hoochie on the lips topped with clear gloss to soften the color.

  9. I would rock Hoochie with a metallic black smokey eye and some soft blush and highlighter on the apples of my cheeks, maybe add some false lashes too. Very cute to go to a concert with this look! :) Thanks!

  10. Hmm, that's a tough one. For a day time look, I'd actually use a white eye shadow and make it pop with a navy blue eyeliner with a little glitter in it. I'd use jet black mascara. And I'd use just a hint of a baby pink blush. daydreamsinbubbles(at)hotmail(dot)com

I would lighten it using my Feathered Lip Tar, to get a light but bright pink and then go for a neutral smoky eye and lots of smudged black eyeliner and mascara! x

  12. This spring / summer makeup trend is clear ,clean perfect complexion, for a great night out so I would team it up with some matt eyeshadow most probably in earthy tones like beiges, browns or taupe with some shimmer/glitter on top a little only, not too much, and a strong eyeliner , 80s style ,double winged for me with some falsies with strong mascara , a peachy pink blush on apple of cheeks,,contour, some face highlighter, not so much to make me look like a disco ball, big silver hoops, great floral headband, and a sexy black dress.Black won't distract attention,I want to keep my face focus of attention. I would be ready to rock the city with my hoochie.I would balance the shade with some lip liner and a little golden or silver dab on the lips.and for day time look, a simple clean face with sheer foundation ,a pinkish blush , mascarar, kajal and hoochie.

  13. Oooh... I normally shy away from bright lip colours but this one is really tempting me. Since I'm not usually one for bold lips I'd probably be a bit of a poof and shy away from colour on my eyes and just go for a wash of a neutral shadow similar to my skintone and well defined liquid liner. I'd contour my cheeks but just use a very light hand to apply Illamasqua's powder blush in Hussy. And I'd probably leave it at that!

  14. Ok. I'm all about contrast so I'd pair this gorgeous shade with smoky metallic bronze eyes. Really high shine on the lid and smudged quite low underneath. Maybe a pop of peachy gold on the centre of the lid. Lots of really black mascara, combed through inbetween coats and then I'd rub the ends to keep the lashes looking fluttery, not spidery. I'd just contour the cheeks very lightly with a neutral shade and keep blush to a minimum. I'd then take Hoochie and apply an opaque coat but blot it to keep it matte. Done x

  15. I might go mad, and go Eighties with it. Chartreuse eyeshadow, black liner, dolly pink blush (maybe not the racing stripes though.) Or wear it with no other make-up than concealer where I need it, no blush, no mascara, a la Tilda Swinton. Hmm. Definitely a la Tilda.

  16. I would go for a bit of a California girl type of look (as I imagine someone like Cameron Diaz would wear a hot pink) pair it with tinted moisturiser to even out skintone and keep it fresh healthy looking, plus a generous sweep of bronzer for that surfer-type glow. I would then use a pale eyeshadow all over the lid (something like Phloof! from MAC) no liner and lashings of mascara (Max Factor False Lash Effect) - so it's all about the fluttery lashes and the bright lips. A super girly look overall :)

  17. Hey

  20. I love Hoochie!! I'd have a neutral face since the lippie is a bit bold (for me at least.) I'd go with neutral shadow, maybe a wash of nude-pink and some medium brown to contour (I would use theBalm's Shady Lady palette.) I'd also go with a thin line of matte brown liquid liner (Kat Von D Immortal Love) and wing it out a bit. I'd also go with long, dramatic lashes (Prestige My Biggest Lashes mascara and some falsies.) Then, I'd apply nude/slightly bronzey blush (MAC Springshine Blush Ombre.) This would complete my look! Thanks for the lovely contest =)

    Thanks again!
